Duplicating assets or containers

Create a near-copy of an item or folder when only a few details differ, like year or quantity.

Overview

Duplicating creates a near-copy of an item or folder so you do not have to retype everything. Useful when only a few details differ, like year or quantity.

Duplicating an item

Open the item, tap the three dots in the header, and choose Duplicate item (copy icon). The duplicate flow starts with the same data filled in. Update serial numbers, quantities, or whatever differs, then save.

Duplicate sits between Edit item and Relocate item.

Duplicating a folder

Folder duplication works from Edit Portfolio. Open Manage, choose Edit Portfolio, select the folder, and use the duplicate action from the toolbar. Read the preview before confirming.
